Stars Don't Fall formed in early 2004 from demise of another band Four Times Jimmy. Their commercial success and fame started with the release of their debut EP, Cliche, in 2004. After this, the band gained a loyal fan base and some local popularity, they performed alongside major bands such as Story of the Year, Hit The Lights, Houston Calls, Good Charlotte, MxPx, Motion City Soundtrack, Funeral for a Friend self funded a DIY east coast tour and also play major festivals in Perth like Soundwave and Big Day Out
In 2005-2006 they recorded the album The Boys Next Door with producer Leonard Soosay in Singapore. This was the band's first major success, with plenty of national airplay on stations such as Nova 937, and their hit single "The Boys Next Door" reached third on the charts.
The following year the band's fan group in Singapore and Malaysia raised money to get the band back over to play shows such as Lime Sonic Bang and Zoukout 2006
2007 saw the final show in Singapore in November on Sentosa Island for Lime Magazine
In late March 2008, the band announced on their MySpace that "all good things must come to an end", referring to their decision to split, as many of the band members pursue different bands and are travelling the world.
In early 2009, the band has posted on their MySpace page that they have an announcement to make. Fans are waiting to hear if the band will reunite but Stars Don't Fall have yet to say make this announcement.
